At Petrotech, we decided to redefine the role of Yard Workers, convinced that operational excellence and sustainability begin with people. When each worker discovers the purpose of their work, understands the impact of their decisions, and takes pride in contributing to an industry that drives the country’s development, their work becomes a source of value for the operation, their team, and society.
Redefining the role:
Being a Yard Worker is much more than performing a daily task; it is about leaving a mark. It means making a safe, efficient, and responsible operation possible. Every task performed with commitment protects lives, strengthens the team, builds trust within communities, and contributes to the country’s development.
Through the Huella Patiera Project, we seek to strengthen Yard Workers comprehensively so that their activities generate positive impacts on their colleagues, processes, and surroundings. Redefining this role means recognizing its value and integrating it into Petrotech’s sustainability goals.
- Training in job-specific activities (inspections, housekeeping, painting, assembly and disassembly of spill response equipment, waste management, handling of small tools, among others)
- Awareness of unsafe acts and conditions (campaigns, training)
- Development of soft skills (Human Resources)
- Sustainability and CSR: waste management, climate change
