{"id":1401,"date":"2026-08-22T02:50:23","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T02:50:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/petrotech.com.co\/?post_type=sostenibilidad&#038;p=1401"},"modified":"2026-09-15T18:30:29","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T23:30:29","slug":"proyecto-carbono-cero-2028","status":"publish","type":"sostenibilidad","link":"https:\/\/petrotech.com.co\/en\/sostenibilidad\/proyecto-carbono-cero-2028\/","title":{"rendered":"Zero Carbon Project 2028"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Petrotech, we understand that growing sustainably means&nbsp;<strong>recognizing our impact, measuring it, and taking action on it.<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is why we have mapped out a path toward carbon neutrality by 2028, integrating the measurement of our carbon footprint with mitigation and offsetting actions that allow us to progressively transform the impact of our operations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2022, we established our emissions baseline, and since then, carbon footprint measurement has been incorporated into our processes as a tool to guide decisions and strengthen our climate change management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Measure to Take Action<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our emissions inventory is prepared in accordance with the\u00a0<strong>GHG Protocol and the NTC-ISO 14064-1:2020<\/strong>&nbsp;guidelines and has been verified by ICONTEC, achieving 98% compliance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The measurement shows a reduction in&nbsp;<strong>Scope 1 emissions<\/strong>, which decreased from&nbsp;<strong>1,539.19 tCO\u2082e in 2023 to 1,401.55 tCO\u2082e in 2024<\/strong>. For&nbsp;<strong>Scope 2, 2.34 tCO\u2082e<\/strong>\u00a0were recorded in&nbsp;<strong>2023 and 3.07 tCO\u2082e in 2024<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A Progressive Path Toward 2028<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Petrotech is advancing a strategy that combines&nbsp;<strong>mitigation and offsetting<\/strong>&nbsp;to progressively achieve its goal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, we offset&nbsp;<strong>245\u00a0tCO\u2082e<\/strong>, equivalent to&nbsp;<strong>17% of 2023 emissions<\/strong>.
